The European Odyssey is a semester-length study abroad program housed in the Department of Global Studies and Geography that is open to all undergraduate students at Hofstra who are either Global Studies majors or minors. This unique program began in 1992. The 13 selected students and two faculty members travel by minivan throughout Europe and surrounding regions. This mobile classroom setting enables students to directly experience a rich comparative array of diverse countries and cultures. Participants have the opportunity to interview politicians and policy makers, professors and students, as well as ordinary citizens throughout Europe. The program visits European Union institutions and other sites of both historical and contemporary relevance. This year’s program will be held February 26-May 9, 2013 and will include visits to France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, and Luxembourg. Students and faculty will be blogging throughout this exciting learning adventure.
